SHAKESPEARE CLASSICS, BARD-INSPIRED BALLETS & MUSICALS
All performances outdoors at Bell Works

Just in time for William Shakespeare’s 457th birthday, the Axelrod brings you The Bard at Bell Works, a three-weekend outdoor performing arts festival celebrating the greatest writer and dramatist in any language, taking place on the outdoor rooftop deck at Bell Works in Holmdel, beginning April 11.
Playgoers (and balletgoers!) can enjoy three unique performances including the Axelrod Contemporary Ballet Theater’s encore presentation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, directed and choreographed by Gabriel Chajnik; an original musical revue The Bard on Broadway, featuring the students from the Axelrod Performing Arts Academy, performing selections from Shakespeare-inspired musicals like West Side Story, Something Rotten! and Kiss Me, Kate; plus a special presentation of Shakespeare’s comedy A Midsummer Night’s Dream by the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey’s traveling company Shakespeare LIVE, directed by Brian B.
