BEATLES BALLET DANCE WORKSHOP

Come learn choreography in preparation for the world premiere of One Sweet Dream, a new ballet set to the score of the Beatles’ Abbey Road. One Sweet Dream will premiere in 2025, combining dance and live music to create an exciting visual and visceral experience. This exclusive dance workshop will include a short ballet technique class followed by contemporary choreography with Director & Choreographer Olivia Miranda.

 

This workshop is designed for intermediate to advanced dance students with an interest in pursuing dance at a pre-professional or college level. Students participating in the Beatles Ballet Workshop will also be invited to perform with Axelrod Contemporary Ballet Theater in the 2025 professional production at Axelrod PAC, performing alongside professional dancers.

Pricing: $40 per day or $100 for 3-day workshop

About Olivia Miranda

A New Jersey native, Olivia Miranda is a founding member of Axelrod Contemporary Ballet Theater, having joined the company in 2018 after graduating from The Ailey School and Fordham University with a B.F.A. in Dance and English. She most recently performed in Sunday in the Park with George and EVITA at Axelrod PAC. Olivia previously danced with Ballet Hispanico's BHdos and as a freelance artist in NY and NJ for companies including Mari Meade Dance Collective and The McCarter Theater. Olivia has performed works by Alvin Ailey, Paul Taylor, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Colby Damon, Graham Lustig to name a few. She has performed at Lincoln Center with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and the Apollo Theater with Ballet Hispanico. Olivia has presented choreographic works at Asbury Park Dance Festival, Ailey Citigroup Theatre, Dixon Place, Rider University, The Tank NYC, and Bell Works. She has taught dance in New Jersey for over eight years and continues to teach at local studios as well as Princeton Ballet School. In addition to her dancing, Olivia is a passionate yoga practitioner and certified yoga instructor.
