Jess Headshot_edited.jpg
Jess Levy

Jess Levy, founding CEO of the Axelrod performing Arts Center (PAC) and Vogel Auditorium, is a visionary arts leader whose work has helped transform the cultural landscape of Monmouth County and the surrounding region. Over a career spanning more than 40 years, the Axelrod PAC has presented an extraordinary range of concerts, theatrical productions, festivals, and major national programs, establishing the Axelrod PAC as a cornerstone of artistic excellence and community engagement. Under his leadership, the organization has grown from its original home in Deal, into a multi-venue cultural institution, including the Bell Theater at Bell Works and the Axelrod Performing Arts Academy. Through these initiatives, Levy has expanded access to high-quality performing arts while nurturing the next generation of artists and audiences. Jess’s commitment to accessibility, education, and inclusion has defined his tenure. By championing affordable, professional-level programming and fostering strong community partnerships, he has ensured that the performing arts remain a vital and welcoming part of the region’s cultural life. In recognition of his impact, Levy was honored by the Monmouth County Arts Council as a “Champion of the Arts,” celebrating his role in advancing a more inspired, inclusive, and creative community. Jess would like to emphasize that the success of the Axelrod Performing Arts Center is the result of a deeply collaborative effort. He credits the dedication and vision of its artists, educators, board members, donors, staff, and loyal audiences, whose collective passion has shaped the organization into a thriving cultural institution. “Together, we have built not only a home for high-quality performing arts, but a lasting legacy—one that continues to enrich the community and ensure that the arts remain vibrant, inclusive, and accessible for generations to come.”
