DINING

The Axelrod Performing Arts Center is located in suburban Ocean Township, though the theater is close driving distance to restaurants in Deal and Asbury Park. The Bar Room and Kitchen and One 18, both on Norwood Avenue in Deal, are within three minutes of the theater. Downtown Asbury Park is bustling with superb restaurants as well, many of which take reservations for pre-theater dining.

ACCESSIBILITY

The Axelrod PAC offers large-print programs for all theatrical productions; Braille programs are available by special request. Assistive hearing devices are available from the box office; a major credit card, driver's license or another form of photo ID is required to borrow a device for a performance.

Patrons using wheelchairs or walkers have free access to all parts of the theater through on-grade entrances, accessible railings, and wide doorways. The front and rear boxes, located on the house right and house left sides of the house, are available for patrons using wheelchairs, and there is accessible seating within the house as well.

Ample parking spaces, clearly marked and close to the theater entrances, are available for patrons with disabilities. Fully accessible restrooms are located on the same level as the theater. Patrons have no need to use stairways or elevators.

The Axelrod PAC is seeking sponsors to make regular signed performances and audio description available for major theatrical events throughout our season.
