WHAT IS THE EXCHANGE OR REFUND POLICY OF AXELROD ARTS?
For patrons who cannot attend a show for which they've purchased tickets, exchanges are available for a future show credit. Exchanges must be arranged 24 hours prior to the performance for which the patron has purchased tickets. No exchanges are granted after scheduled show date. There are no charges for exchanges. All sales are final. Ticket purchases cannot be refunded.
IS THERE A THEATRE DRESS CODE?
Patrons should dress neat casual: Comfortable, but tidy. Gala concerts are a bit more fancy, of course.
MAY I BRING MY TODDLER WITH ME TO THE THEATRE?
Axelrod Arts does not permit children under four years old in the theatre (unless it's a children's show). Toddlers or infants may not sit on the laps of patrons.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I MISPLACE MY TICKET OR FORGOT TO PRINT IT OUT AT HOME?
The Box Office will be happy to print out your ticket. Please bring a valid photo ID.
WHAT IS THE COST OF A TICKET?
Ticket prices vary from show to show, though Axelrod Arts works very hard to keep ticket prices as low as possible. For comparable, professional musical theater, the Axelrod Arts prices are significantly less than other NJ theatres. As with all things in life, prices are subject to change.
WHAT ARE THE BOX OFFICE HOURS?
Our main box office is located at Axelrod Performing Arts Center in Deal, NJ. The hours are Monday through Friday, 10AM - 1PM. At both the Axelrod Performing Arts Center in Deal, NJ and Bell Theater at Bell Works in Holmdel, NJ, the box offices are open 2 hours prior to all showtimes.
WILL THE SHOW BE CANCELED DUE TO SNOW OR BAD WEATHER?
As the old adage says, "The Show Must Go On!" Axelrod Arts will do everything possible not to cancel performances. If you are fearful of weathering a storm to get to the show, call the box office prior to the show and arrange an exchange. Remember, exchanges after a show date are not possible.
ARE THERE FEES ATTACHED TO PURCHASING TICKETS?
There are Facility Fees per ticket and a Convenience Charge for Credit Card purchases via web, box office, or phone. There is no Convenience Charge for check or Cash payments at the box office.
MAY I TAKE PHOTOS OR VIDEOS DURING A SHOW?
Photography and videography of any sort art strictly prohibited at all performances.
WHAT WOULD BE CONSIDERED PROPER THEATRE ETIQUETTE?
Emily Post could very well be seated two rows behind you, so let's cover some basic etiquette for the theatre:
Audience members have to respect not only their fellow patrons who have also purchased tickets to see the show, but also the performers on stage. Remember: if it's not a film, the actors can see and hear you!
Theatregoers who talk during a performance will distract actors on stage as well as Ms. Post in Row C. Lights from cell phones are equally as distracting and (most likely) unnecessary. Please turn off cell phones prior to all performances. If you're a doctor on call, silence it. If your cellphone rings during the show, silence it immediately. If you think you are going to need a cough drop or hard candy, please unwrap it before the performance. In the heightened silence of a dramatic moment on stage, crinkling cellophane can disrupt the entire room.
So, do your very best to not talk and to keep children quiet. If another patron is being disruptive, please seek out an usher to intervene. The house staff is available throughout the performance to assist patrons and to ensure that everyone can enjoy the show.
